School services:

School services are centred around the Response to Intervention model. This model is a multi-tiered approach to intervention. We deliver a variety of services that align with the principles of this model

As part of our school services we closely collaborate with leadership staff, teachers and education support assistants to meet the specific needs of each school.

We believe in closely collaborating with teachers, leadership staff and education support assistants in order to provide the best service possible that suit the needs of each individual school. School services may include:

  • Whole class programs (i.e. phonological awareness, oral language development etc).
  • Small group intervention
  • Professional development for staff
  • Assessments
  • Individual therapy

Tier 1

All students require high quality classroom instruction and ongoing evaluation of strengths and difficulties through formal and dynamic assessments.

We can provide:

  • Professional development for teachers
  • Whole classroom programs
  • Ongoing classroom support
  • Informal, ongoing evaluation of students' skills/screening assessments

Tier 2

Students with ongoing difficulties are provided with targeted intervention in small groups

We can provide:

  • Small group therapy directly from the speech pathologist
  • Small group therapy supported by the speech pathologist
  • Input and support in establishing/implementing Individual Education Plans
  • Full/screening assessments

Tier 3

Students with significant difficulties require individualised support

We can provide:

  • Intensive individual evidence-based intervention directly from the speech pathologist
  • Input and support in establishing/implementing Individual Education Plans
  • Full assessments to guide goal selection and implementation strategies
